This is a real-time render of the AGL .45 Long Colt from the anime series Trigun (1998). I aimed to closely match the details using a collection of images from the anime, along with photos of similar weapons. The internal parts of the barrel were a bit challenging, as the design seemed to change significantly throughout the series, but I believe I was able to make it work. Overall, this was a fun weapon to model.
The high and low poly models were created using ZBrush and Autodesk Maya. Texturing and baking were done in Substance Painter with 4k texture maps. Rendering was done in Marmoset Toolbag. The model has a tricount of 25778 which includes internals and the bullet.
