This Jericho IWI 941F was created as a game-ready model. I wanted to include some of the less prominent components inside the frame and slide for disassembled renders. It was a great experience to model this weapon, especially in creating the various small components like springs, threads, and releases. For the texturing, I aimed to ensure the dark metallic materials closely matched my references, which took time to calibrate alongside the black rubber grip. I eventually used an ACES PBR validator in Substance Painter to ensure the metallic materials weren’t too dark. Overall, creating this weapon from start to finish was an enjoyable process.
This weapon has about a tricount of 34138 which includes the bullet. I used two texture sets for this model and the textures are 4k for close-up camera angles. The software I used to create this was Autodesk Maya and ZBrush for developing the low and high poly models, Substance Painter for baking/texturing, and Marmoset for rendering.
